Is it wrong that I was more excited at the new that LCD Soundsystem were getting back together than Guns n’Roses (both bands to play Coachella)?
Another act which burned brightly, if all too briefly, James Murphy‘s New York outfit, came to mass attention with the release of their second album The Sound of Silver from which North American Scum is taken.
Having split up in 2011 – following a farewell show at Madison Square Garden, which was turned into the documentary Shut Up And Play Me The Hits – the band reactivated in typically enigmatic style over Xmas 2015 with a new song Christmas Will Break Your Heart.
It’s great to have them back!
